This presentation will focus on the practical steps employers should be in the middle of doing in their preparation for compliance with the ACA. Working on the premise that attendees are already familiar with the ACA and the employer mandate requirements, we will begin with an assessment of the current timeline as it relates to:
• Variable hour employee data tracking
• The possibility of having to have two open enrollment periods in 2014, and the potential issues that might arise from doing this
• Looking ahead to the final tweaks employers will need to make prior to January 1, 2015
We will also review the latest developments with respect to the final Shared Responsibility regulations, highlighting any changes that employers need to be aware of. Finally, we will turn to insurance solutions for employers who are looking for options that are appropriate for their staff.
